UKC CH Hersheytoo Arktalas "Tala" CM NAP NJP CGC RATI

Our foundation female, Tala is a wonderful example of the breed. She is all that we could've asked for to start us on this wonderful journey within the breed.

She does well with all animals when introduced properly. She is wonderful with children and seniors, and is a happy, loving family dog. Our senior cat and her are cuddle buddies and she enjoys the company of other dogs within the home.

Tala excels in training classes and has trialed in agility & rally. She is handler focused, food motivated, methodical, and intelligent.  We are spending 2026 pushing hard into agility trials now that she is done breeding.

 

Tala is the first Swedish Lapphund to receive a Certificate of Merit is North America. A CM title is a "champion" title for those breeds in AKC's Foundation Stock Service program. For breeds with small numbers, it is incredibly hard to earn a CM and for us it took 6 years to earn this title through covid, moving, having a child, a change in career, and two litters. Tala is an amazing girl and it was a hard but well earned title.
