Arbbola's Beere Bingse RATI
Arwen is one of two puppies that we imported from Norway in the summer of 2024. We are truly grateful that her breeders trusted us with her as she'll bring much needed diversity and type to the breed here in North America. She comes from excellent parentage and brings a lot to the table. Her sire is used to work reindeer and as a very successful cadaver dog while her mom is described as being a great first-time dog.
Arwen is very different, but yet similar to Tala & Chile in many ways. She adores our son and will let him walk her around the house with a loose leash. The two of them have a blast playing together. Arwen does well with all the dogs in the house and does well greeting strange dogs. She does enjoy herding our one cat, but ignores the other. She greets strangers with ease but is more aloof and independent than the others, though she does enjoy belly rubs immensely.
She absolutely thrives in training situations, and is one smart cookie who learns fast and has both food & toy drive. She wants to work and throws herself into the task with gusto. Yet she's able to sleep peacefully while contained at work. She has begun training in agility and is already mastering techniques that take some dogs much longer to learn. We're really excited to see how she does in performace.
In June 2026 she participated in both FASTCAT and Barnhunt for the first time. In just one run she earned 33.68 points towards her BCAT and we expect as she absolutely loves chasing the "plastic bunny" that she will quickly earn that title. She also did very well in Barn Hunt and has earned her RATI. Barn hunt trials are not common where we live so we do expect that it will take her some time to earn higher titles just because there are not many places to earn Qs in our area.
Arwen does have one tipped ear which is considered "non-preferred." It does not disqualify her from breeding, but we will take extra consideration to match her with males for breeding that have stronger ear leather. Unfortunately we acknowledge that it is harder to place conformation titles on a dog that has a non-preferred feature. She will still be in the ring, but her focus will be towards sports instead.
